This article analyzes the essence of the concept of pedagogical deontology, its sources of origin and its place in modern pedagogical ethics. Pedagogical deontology is considered as a field that includes the professional duty, moral responsibility of a teacher, ethical situations arising in the communication between a teacher and a student, and aspects related to compliance with ethical standards in pedagogical activity.
