Abstract

This article discusses the role of the media in shaping the health of the population and a healthy lifestyle. The concept of medical culture, the processes of its formation, and the information, warning, preventive and motivational functions of the media in raising public health awareness are analyzed. The capabilities and responsibilities of modern media, in particular the Internet and social networks, in this regard are considered separately. Conclusions and recommendations are given based on the problems and proposals.
