The article analyzes the artistic translation of spatial descriptions in Said Nafisi’s novel “Halfway to Heaven” into Uzbek. Although the overall content of the text is preserved in the translation process, certain lexical and poetic layers are adapted to Uzbek literary traditions, resulting in subtle semantic changes. The analysis demonstrates that literary translation is not merely the transfer of words into another language, but a process of conveying the narrative’s mood, the internal conflicts of space, and the artistic layers to the reader.
