This article examines the translator’s approaches to identifying Uzbek equivalents of Hindi phraseological expressions based on the criteria of semantic correspondence, cultural adaptation, stylistic harmony, and connotative meaning. The study explores the semantic, cultural, and artistic dimensions of equivalence and highlights the factors that ensure naturalness in translation and closeness to the reader within a scholarly framework.
