The Formation and Contemporary Development of Uzbek National Pop Music

Abstract

This article examines the historical formation of Uzbek pop music, the establishment of the national school of pop performance, and the development of the industry during the еars of independence. The study analyzes the interaction between traditional folk music and contemporary global musical trends, as well as the role of pop music in shaping national identity and the spiritual education of young people. Special attention is paid to the contribution of Botir Zokirov, the activities of state cultural institutions, and current challenges such as globalization, digitalization, commercialization, and the preservation of national musical traditions. The article also proposes practical recommendations for improving the artistic quality and sustainable development of Uzbek pop music.
