Abstract

This article analyzes the phenomena of synonymy in the Uzbek language and explores the potential of corpus linguistics methods in creating contextological dictionaries. It examines nominal, verbal, and adjectival synonymy, their context-dependence, semantic distinctions, and stylistic features. Corpus-based observations demonstrate the importance of these methods for dictionary compilation, classification of synonymic units, and identification of their pragmatic and connotative characteristics.
