This article examines the linguocultural meaning of counting words, their semantic load, and the issues related to selecting appropriate equivalents in translation. Units that denote quantity, shape, measure, and classification reflect a people’s cultural experience, worldview, and traditional ways of categorizing objects. Therefore, their accurate interpretation in translation plays a crucial role in preserving national and cultural components. The paper analyzes the linguocultural features of counting words in Uzbek and Persian and explores the specific aspects of conveying them in translation.
