Abstract

The stylistic means of antithesis in English has its own peculiarities, and the communicative pragmatic aspects of the stylistic means of antithesis in Uzbek are analyzed. Antithesis is a stylistic phenomenon that occurs mainly in conjunctions. Antitheses are very common in proverbs and poems.
